Overcompensating

Benny Scanlon arrives at Yates and makes fast friends with Carmen at Orientation. Will Benny and Carmen be more than friends? Or will the fact that he’s totally… you know… get in the way? His sister Grace hooks him up with unflavored vodka for his pregame, while her boyfriend, Peter, imparts sage senior bro wisdom: get laid day one or suffer the consequences. The stakes couldnt be higher tbh.

Benny gets noticed by a secret society and will stop at nothing to get his bestie / security blanket, Carmen, the same attention. Lucky for them, its alumni tailgate weekend so she gets to show off her legendary drinking prowess. Peter gets some sobering news from a coked out "brother" and Grace reconnects with Mimi, who is back from her semester abroad. What sport is this tailgate for again?

Its Halloweekend and Benny is still on the outs with Carmen so he and Miles have been getting… closer. Carmen and Hailee reconcile just as the latter enters her bad girl era. Grace calls Peter out for treating her like an assistant. Tensions (sexual and otherwise) rise at the annual Chem Party. But who will go home with who (or is it whom)? This episode is so good.

Carmen tags along with Benny and Grace for an Idaho Thanksgiving, complete with karaoke, a fist fight, and some ghosts from the past. We are nothing if not consistent! Benny regresses in front of his dad, while Carmen and Grace start to understand each other a bit more over some vodka crans and onion rings. But Carmen is still keeping her devastating secret...
