Sauls family watches the Kings deteriorating mental state with great concern, and is ready to do anything in their power to defend his reign. David is hungry for a life outside of his home, but what he finds beyond the hills of Bethlehem is danger beyond his wildest expectations.

A member of the palace faces serious allegations, that force the royal family to react. Samuel suffers a grave loss and sees himself confronted with the consequences of his prophecy. David discovers a new world where he finds secrets, dangers, but above all, love.

Ahinoam maneuvers for power, Mirab feels torn between family and love, and alliances begin to shift in ways that will shape Israel’s fragile future.

The royal caravan travels to Tabernacle for the Day of Atonement as Saul prepares for a public confrontation with Samuel. On the road, a nearby village is attacked by the Philistines and David’s skills as a commander are put to the test. Eliab faces an impossible choice when he and Joab embark on a secret mission for the King. Samuel performs a traditional ceremony and holds his ground.
