Yelawolf: A Slumerican Life

After a legendary show at Preservation Hall, it’s a late flight to Atlanta, the city where Yelawolf’s rap roots took hold. Yelawolf and the gang meet with local icons like graffiti artist Dr. Dax, producer WLPWR and rapper Grip Plyaz. It’s an emotional time as Yelawolf reconnects with his past.

Yelawolf and hit-maker Jim Jonsin hit the studio to explore Nashvilles broad creativity. For the first time ever, Yelawolf allows cameras to capture all the passion he puts into making a record. After the studio session, Yelawolf and friends celebrate the 4th of July in a uniquely Slumerican way.

Still in Gadsden, Yelawolf shares a slice of his childhood. Later, the crew joins up for a tour through the Alabama marshes. Feeling good about his trip home, Wolf heads to New York City for new adventures.

We learn why Los Angeles holds a special place in Yelawolfs heart. Linking up with Three 6 Mafia alum, DJ Paul, Yelawolf convinces him to join them for a journey out to Joshua Tree. A party filled with experimental drug use has Wolf remembering when he hit rock bottom on tour in 2016.

Yelawolf takes advantage of his time in Albuquerque to hit up local hot spots and party in the desert. Next, Yelawolf and crew travel to South Dakota, where Yelawolf is slated to headline a show, but not before meeting up with a motorcycle stunt team and fellow Slumerican rapper, Struggle Jennings.
