Mysterious Ways

Declan Dunn is an anthropology professor who believes in miracles and other wonders. When he hears of a miraculous thing he goes out to find out if its an actual miracle. Peggy Fowler is his friend, a psychiatrist who tries to make sure hes grounded.

S2E1 - Phoenix 2001-07-13

A fireman engulfed in flames staggers out of a burning house and miraculously escapes without a single burn. When several other seemingly connected unbelievable coincidences occur, Declan investigates and witnesses what could be a miracle.

S2E2 - One of Us 2001-07-20

Dwayne Banbury, one of Declans students, is shot in a variety store hold up, but miraculously, the bullet seems to have passed right through him, leaving him unharmed. Dwaynes friend Jonathan comes to believe that Dwayne is a real life superhero who can finally help him take revenge on the popular students who have harassed him his whole life. In the end, the true miracle is a lesson in tolerance.

When a torrent of fish falls from the sky onto the former mining town of Kerwins Landing, Declan cant resist investigating. What he discovers is a town in decline, facing tough economic times. To everyones amazement, the falling fish are only the beginning of a strange series of downpours that help pave the way to a brighter future.
