When a church in California asks the Gosselins to speak to their congregation, Jon and Kate jump at the chance to get out of Pennsylvania. But the logistics of a cross country trip, from drafting a will to packing up all eight kids, proves challenging.

Kate and Jon want to make sure their eight grow up with traditions and Fall is prime time for family ritual. They take the kids to a local orchard for pumpkin and apple picking, and end the day with romping through a corn maze.

Grocery shopping for a small army is not easy when youre on a tight budget. However, thrifty Kate has now mastered this task, and we get to see how she does it. Then, we watch as Jon and Kate navigate through a crowded toy store with 8 unhappy kids.

The twins turn 6 and Jon and Kate decide to take them to New York City to celebrate. The sextuplets are dropped off at family friends for the weekend.

July Fourth is the Gosselins favorite summer holiday. Starting with a local parade, followed by a picnic lunch and finally some time in the pool, this day is sure to be packed with fun ... until the weather decides to not cooperate and puts a chilly damper on the activities.

We know the Gosselins like to buy things in bulk, so it makes sense that when they want to buy beef, they go buy half a cow! And to show the kids exactly where their food comes from, Jon and Kate take them to Natural Acres, a nearby organic farm, for a field trip like no other.

Once again, the Gosselins have outgrown their house, so its time to renovate! They convert their attic into a new bedroom for the twins and separate the girls from the boys. Plus, no more cribs for the sextuplets-its time for big-kid beds. How will they do being separated for the first time, and how will they adjust to their new accommodations?

At the ripe age of four, the sextuplets wonder where they came from and how they got a start in this big world. Jon and Kate decide to show them the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) where they spent their first several weeks. They meet the doctors and nurses who were there on their birthday. Theyll even get to have a sleepover in the condo that Mommy and Daddy lived in during their stay in the NICU!

The Gosselin kids get help from professional baker Duff Goldman of Ace of Cakes, to help them bake a cake as a surprise for Kates birthday, while Jon is off in Utah for some skiing with friends and a tour of a facility that helps handicapped kids ski and snowboard.

Jon & Kate Plus 8 celebrates their 100th episode with special guest Chef Emeril Lagasse who, gives the Gosselins a cooking lesson and the kids get to make their own meal.

The children are getting their own playhouses: one for Mady, one for Cara, one for the little girls and one for the boys, also Jon and Kate announce that after much discussion they will separate after 10 years of marriage.

With eight growing kids, the kitchen has always been a critical room in the Gosselin household. Though the family finally has the kitchen space theyve long needed, they need to revamp their cabinets to maximize space and efficiency. The challenge is that Kate didnt realize that renovating the kitchen would result in being without her kitchen for almost two weeks! The thought of doing dishes in the bathtub proves too much for Kate, and she decides to trade stress for relaxation by taking the kids to the beach while Jon manages the cabinet installations. Can Kate escape stress or will the all-too-familiar challenges of parenting eight kids on the road become an obstacle once again?

While Jon oversees the installation of new cabinets in the kitchen, Kate and the kids get into some fun in the sun at the beach. In addition to cooking the kids a special breakfast, Kate recreates summer fun for all the kids, allowing them to body paint with pudding yet again, despite her natural desire for cleanliness and order. Soon enough, its time to go home, and check out the changes to the kitchen. Will the reveal of the new cabinets and kitchen meet Kates expectations?

Kate takes the boys to a real dude ranch so they can experience the lifestyle of a cowboy. Meanwhile at home, Jon has the girls work on a scavenger hunt.

Kate takes the kids back to their organic food provider. The Amish farmer is famous for supplying excellent organic products, especially fresh fruit and vegetables. Once they return home, Kate immerses herself into preparing a delicious, healthy dinner for the family, and then she hosts a game night with the kids. Later, after a long and exhausting day, Kate must take Cara on a late-night trip to the doctor.

Kate loves to organize things, but with a busy schedule and eight kids, theres no time. So she has an expert organizer, Diane Albright come in and help them with their messy basement.

Kate takes the little girls on a trip to Florida to visit the worlds largest butterfly house, while back at home, Jon and the rest of the kids launch water rockets.
