The Yorkshire Steam Railway: All Aboard

To celebrate its 50th anniversary, the railway has hired headlining steam engine Royal Scot, but she has a problem with her boiler, carriages that havent been serviced in five years, and no-one even knows if she will fit the line.

The busy summer season is looming and the steam engines are old, so theres always something to fix. The only chance of getting through the summer is if they complete the overhaul of Repton, a 1934 Schools class engine.

Head boilersmith Mark and his fiancee Emma choose their beloved B1 steam train to lead their wedding, but not everything goes to plan.

It is War Weekend at the North Yorkshire Moors Steam railway, a celebration of the part the railway played in WWII - and almost 30,000 visitors are expected. In a packed weekend,the railway is transported back in time to 1939.

Under pressure to bring in extra revenue now that the season is nearly over, the NYMR team decide to put on a massive bash for Halloween. Perfect time for all the lights to blow out.

It’s Christmas at the NYMR! There’s festive jollity aplenty as the railway prepares for the 2019 Santa Season. What started as a bit of good fun is now absolutely crucial depths-of-winter revenue generator for the railway. And to make sure this is the most successful Santa Season ever they’ve added a whole new train, the Northern Lights Express. This spectacular new service - involving 25,000 lights fixed to a moving steam train and its carriages, as well as illuminating sections of the 18 mile track – is an incredible technical and logistical challenge. How will this marriage of Victorian engineering and 21st century come together?
