Twenty years later, Kirsten and her Shakespearean troupe, the Traveling Symphony, meet a mysterious man on their way to perform at St. Deborah-by-the-Water.

After Kirsten nudges the Traveling Symphony off-course to help unravel the mystery of the Prophet, a much grimmer truth is revealed.

While Kirsten leaves the Traveling Symphony behind to track down the Prophet, the Conductor accepts an invitation for the rest of the grieving troupe that breaks her heart.

Kirsten arrives in Severn City to rescue the Traveling Symphony - only to find herself trapped in a family conflict that began twenty years ago.

Kirsten sets in motion her plan to free the Traveling Symphony, while Miranda tries to live the right life.
