Penny is swept back in time to February 1955 to learn the importance of black history, a subject she once found boring. In the past, she finds that her school relegates black students to the back of the classroom and there are no lessons in black history being taught. A mythical character named Johnny Lovely blows into town to show Penny and her friends the importance of treating each other with respect. His arrival coincides with rehearsals for the Junior Debutante Ball, a custom that Penny complains is outdated and demeaning to women. However, Johnny sees this coming-out party as a chance to put on display his gentlemanly good manners.

S2E17 - The Camp, the Counselor, the Mole and the Rock 2003-08-01

Reverend Hagood organizes a three-day, two-night camping trip for the youth of his church. Penny volunteers as a junior counselor, to the chagrin of Oscar, whos fearful of his daughter being alone with boys and their "raging hormones." Meanwhile, Peabo splits his time away from home between tracking Pennys every move and trying to get closer to crush Zoey.

Penny is framed for stealing by the manager at her new department-store job.

Smokey Robinson is hired to sing at the wedding of Suga Mama after she accepts a marriage proposal from her senior-citizen beau, Clarence St. John. Meanwhile, Oscar hopes a private eye will prove his hunch that the bride-to-be is being fleeced out of her life savings by the future groom.

Penny and her classmates experience culture shock when their teacher assigns them to spend time in homes of classmates of different nationalities. Pennys initial awkwardness when visiting a Pakistani family whos fasting during Ramadan gives way to an appreciation of the Islamic faith.

Penny is running against mudslinger Wizard Kelly Jr. in the race for class president.

Wizard Kelly organizes a televised talent contest featuring celebrity judge Alicia Keys, and LaCienega decides to enter it. But Penny suspects that the wannabe pop idol isnt above cheating to win.

S3E6 - Smackmania 6: Mongo vs. Mama's Boy 2003-12-26

After Mongo, a famous wrestler, takes ill at the hands of Proud Snacks, Oscar is forced to step into the ring to defend Mongos belt. Oscar, now known as “Mamas Boy,” does so with the help of his tag-team partner, Suga Mama. Ironically, Mongo ends up having to fight Oscar to get his belt back.
