S1E1 - Flying Misfits 1976-09-21

Maverick WW2 Marine aviator forms his own fighter squadron.

S1E2 - Best Three Out of Five 1976-09-23

While in temporary command, Lard uses his powers to cut the supply lines to the Black Sheep, in order to have their unit shut down for no combat activity, but Boyington finds a way around that and all the Black Sheep are on leave. Things go awry when Boyington and crew return and finds the man Boyington stole the Corsairs from, now in charge of the 214.

S1E3 - Small War 1976-09-28

While on patrol Pappy is accidentally shot down by T.J. He hits the silk and winds up on a Japanese occupied island. The squadrons morale hits rock bottom while he is MIA and Jim is unsure of his abilities to command. Pappy soon discovers he is not the only one trying to survive on the hostile island.

S1E4 - High Jinx 1976-10-05

The Japanese have a new special modified armored Zero with the best Japanese pilots in the air. If Pappy or any of his men come up against them they are to disengage and get home. This doesnt sit well with Pappy or the rest of the squadron. Pappy pulls strings and has newly returned to service Ace pilot Doug Rafferty assigned to his squadron. His father is an Admiral...but Jim remembers him from previous missions and believes him to be a jinx. Pappy wont have this kind of superstitious talk going around and tells Jim to keep his mouth shut.

S1E5 - Prisoners of War 1976-10-12

During an early morning strafing attack by Japanese Zeros Pappy manages to shoot one down. After taking the pilot prisoner they begin to discover its hard to hate him. He has lived in the U.S. and speaks perfect English and begins to warm up to the Squadron. But what Pappy really wants to know is what the sonar device was doing in his plane and what his mission has to do with the Japanese task force which is on the move.

S1E6 - Presumed Dead 1976-10-26

Presumed dead, flying ace Charles Dobson is found afloat on a raft at sea, after being released by the Japanese. The Meatheads try to unlock the secret to why the Japanese have set up shop with anti-aircraft batteries overnight on an island seemingly with no importance. Dobsons strange behavior brings about suspicion in Boyington.

S1E7 - The Meatball Circus 1976-11-09

The navy whisks Boyington and other squadron leaders away and tells them to pick five men for a top secret mission where five men from each will have fly until out of gas and ditch in the ocean, hoping to be picked up. Angered, Boyington comes up with an alternate plan and enlists the help of his flying meatball circus. But Boyington isnt sure what is more dangerous, flying a mission over multiple Japanese carriers, or his men butting heads with professionally dressed, by-the-book Navy men.

S1E8 - Up for Grabs 1976-11-16

General MacArthur is visiting everyone in the Pacific and Boyingtons men are his next stop. On the day he is suppose to arrive, some Japanese soldiers show up and take everyone captive, with the intent to grab MacArthur. But fortunately Wiley and Casey went fishing so they werent captured. So they must try and find a way to stop them.

S1E9 - Anyone for Suicide? 1976-11-23

Boyington, just recovered from malaria, gets no volunteers for a dangerous mission after Doc Lindsay tells the Black Sheep to ground Pappy or hell send him stateside. Pappy decides to fly the mission anyway, with four strangers. After bad weather keeps the replacements from flying in, the mission is scrubbed. To get back into Pappys good graces, the Black Sheep decide to fly with Pappy, but the mission doesnt go as planned.

S1E10 - New Georgia on My Mind 1976-11-30

A marine Colonel arrives on the island and informs Boyington that he and his squad are going to join him on a raid. Boyington is not pleased when he learns that the Colonel is taking command of his squad so he goes to General Moore who tells him to suck it up. And things between the marines and the black sheep get tense. And when the Colonel pushes them too far, Boyington snaps.

S1E11 - The Cat's Whiskers 1976-12-07

Boyington is looking at facing the court martial Lard has been after, but with the war at a stand still for no apparent reason, Boyington finds out why and plans a mission to bring good graces upon the Black Sheep.

S2E1 - Divine Wind 1977-12-14

A padre fresh from Guadalcanal arrives to visit the Black Sheep squadron. Rather than man of courage and faith, they see a man in the middle of a crisis of faith. Meanwhile local Japanese bombers seem to be taking a lot interest in activity around the islands.

S2E2 - The 200 Pound Gorilla 1977-12-21

Sgt Micklin receives a promotion but he seems very resistant to the idea. Pappy needs him to accept the new position so the chronic issues with ammunition for the Black Sheep squadron can be resolved.

A new recruit joins the squadron and the commander has extreme doubts about his age. After a series of encounters it is obvious the young man is an extremely talented flyer and is welcomed into the squadron with open arms.

S2E8 - Fighting Angels 1978-03-01

The base for the squadron comes under attack from Japanese land forces. The situation becomes more desperate with need to evacuate the nursing staff. With all retreat cut of the men and women decide to make their stand.

S2E9 - The Iceman 1978-03-08

A friend of Boyingtons, whos the number 1 ace, is shot down by a Japanese pilot, known as the Iceman, who only goes after the top pilots. Boyington is now the number one ace pilot and he is told that he has to go back to the States to go on a bond drive. And the one whos going to replace him is not exactly what the squad is use to.

S2E10 - Hotshot 1978-03-15

An army pilot is attached to the Black Sheep squadron in an effort to allow him to be the top scoring ace against the Japanese. His directness and competitiveness soon leads him into conflict with the men he is flying with.

S2E11 - The Show Must Go On... Sometimes 1978-03-23

The Japanese are bombing LaCava and they damage the runway. Boyington then asks Lard if he can get some SesBees to repair the runway. Lard tells him if he can find one, hell authorize it. He does. When he goes to see the man in charge, he says he has too much to do. But when Boyington tells him that a USO show will be visiting the island, he agrees. It seems that while he was at Lards office, he heard of a USO show coming so he has Casey find out if they can come to the island. But when he calls he is told they are not coming.

S2E12 - Sheep in the Limelight 1978-03-30

The squadron save a transport plane under attack from the Japanese only to find later the wife of the president of the United States was on board. The subsequent publicity becomes overwhelming.

S2E13 - A Little Bit of England 1978-04-06

One of the Black sheep has his plane damaged and tries to make for an island known as England. He comes down between Japanese forces and an English coast watcher and the race is on to save him.
