S1E1 - Pilot (1) 2004-06-01

Ava was exactly where she wanted to be in life. In her thirties, with a close-knit circle of friends, a great house in a beautiful California beach town and a growing career as a fashion designer, the last thing on her mind was settling down and starting a family,but that all changed the day Avas sister and brother-in-law were killed in an accident, leaving Ava to raise their three children.

S1E3 - Fireworks 2004-06-08

Ava discovers that there is some marijuana in Bradins jeans. The realty office take all of Johnnys time causing him to break his promise to Derrick.

S1E4 - Into My Life 2004-06-15

At the roommates annual summer luau party, relationships are started, rekindled, and ended. Ava learns a terrible secret about why Johnny broke up with her years ago. Susanna pretends to be involved with Jay to ward off advances from her ex boyfriend. And Nikki believes she must seduce Cameron in order to keep him interested in her and away from his ex girlfriend Amber.

S1E5 - The Grass Is Greener Than You Think 2004-06-22

Jay is upset that his old knee injury is keeping him from competing in the local surfing competition, but Erika has plans to get him in the event. Meanwhile, feeling overwhelmed by the disarray in the house, Ava asks Johnny and Susannah to help her organize things but no one can agree on how much structure is really needed in the house.Also, Ava and Susanna organize a fashion shoot with a photographer who had a one night stand with Johnny

S1E6 - Big Waves 2004-06-29

When Derricks friend finds a naked picture of Ava and takes it home with him Ava has to do some explaining to his mother why Derrick and her son had them. Meanwhile Bradin goes to Jay and Johnny for advice when he considers having sex with Sarah for the first time,but the next night Bradin feels hurt and confused when he sees Sarah on a date with another guy. Nikkis possessiveness is putting a strain on her relationship with Cameron. Bradin meets a young mysterious girl named Haley.

S1E7 - Heat Wave 2004-07-06

Ava begins to get really worry about Bradins relationship with his wild girlfriend Sarah when they get caught by the police for swimming near the pier at night. Bradin begins to think about breaking up with her, but he finds it harder to do than he thought it would be. Erika is caught off guard when a former boyfriend shows up, which is pretty obvious, as Nikki observes while talking to her. Meanwhile, Derrick misinterprets a friendly embrace between Susannah and Johnny on a camping trip.

S1E8 - Secrets 2004-07-13

Ava begins to thinks that it might be in Nikkis best interest to skip her last year of junior high and go straight to high school, but Nikki does not think that it is in her best interest. Sarah invites Bradin to run away with her to Mexico, but he soon discovers that shes actually attempting to get out of going away to a strict boarding school. Also Erikas estranged mother shows up unannounced and attempts to get Erika to leave Jay and Playa Linda to come home to live with her.

Erika moves in with Jay after she gets kicked out of her apartment. Elsewhere, Susannah and Ava need a backer for their clothing line to keep their business. Johnny and Ava rekindle old feelings after chaperoning Derrick and Martha on their date

Johnny realizes his feelings for Ava when he sees her having a great time on a date with Nikkis principal, Dr. OKeefe. Meanwhile, Bradin considers taking his friendship with Callie to the next level but is confused when Sarah comes back to town.

Amber and Nikki are very shocked when Cameron shows up with a new girlfriend, Jordan. Bradin begins to practice with other guys on trying out for a surfing team with good members Zack and Lucas, but things get really complicated when he finds out Tanner is Lucas brother. Also, Ava is interviewing people for the jobs of sales, marketing, etc., for her fashion line.

S2E1 - The Wisdom to Know the Difference 2005-02-28

After months of being gone Johnny returns home he is shocked to learn that Ava asks Simon to marry her. Nikki becomes very upset that Ava has asked Simon to marry her since feels Ava is meant Johnny. On the other hand Derrick very excited at the new because his family will now complete. When Bradins coach questions his effort on the surf team, he considers trying performance-enhancing drugs to help him be better.

S2E2 - I Am The Walrus 2005-03-07

Three FBI agents come in and they are looking for Susannah and everything Dubois International related. Bradin is suspended from the school surf team. Bradin goes to the hospital.

S2E3 - Sledgehammer 2005-03-14

Nikki helps Cameron run for student president of their school,but Cameron does not want to follow Nikkis plan and winds up embarrassing and annoying Nikki.Ava is angry when after allowing Bradin to return to his surf team,she learns he is skipping his tutoring.Jay sides with Bradin,which causes a rift between the two.Mona questions Johnny about Ava.

S2E4 - Life Goes On 2005-03-21

At School Derrick talks with his school friends about a father/son sailing race.Were all of his friends will compete with their dads, but he will be with Ava. Two of his friends say Derrick cant compete with Ava which makes Derrick very upset and he begings to fight with them, all boys end in the principals office.the temp secretary calls Susannah, Johnny, Jay, Ava, and Simon to pick Derrick up. Derrick tells Ava he doesnt want to race with her as shes not a father.Nikki becomes frustrated with Cameron and the school elections.

S2E5 - Mr. & Mrs. Who 2005-03-28

Derrick is at the hospital where Johnny and Ava are waiting to get news on how he is doing. Johnny is Upset at Mona for having gone to get her hair done instead of showing up at the restaurant to let the in painters so that they can do their job. Monas soon to be ex-husband comes to town to sign the divorce papers.

Jay and Bradin are in Hawaii doing a photo shoot for an advertising agency. Bradin meets Dallas, the girl he will work with. Jay recieves a call from home. Ava and Colby are in Milan. Ava gets a call from Susannah from her cell phone. Is it the same news that will bring Jay and Bradin home?

S2E10 - The Space Between Us 2005-06-20

Bradin comes home after the surf tour abroad. With him is a surfer dude named Bryce and his girlfriend. Bradin seems out of place when he sees his friends having a party in the hot tub. Bradin is suppose to go with Derrick to the restaurant where Ava is to have a talk via webcam, but doesnt. Jay is concerned about the way Bradin is living his life. Ava misses the kids.

S2E11 - Safe House 2005-06-27

When Bryces sister Faith comes to town, Bradin becomes attracted to her, even after Bryce warns him to stay away. Ava asks Johnny to move back into the house. When Nikki goes to visit Cameron, his dad throws him back into the house. Nikki then goes and talks to Ava and Cameron soon starts staying at their house, that is, until Kyle, Camerons father, comes looking for him.

Bradin saves his friend Bryces life, after getting hit by his own board and gets a concussion while surfing. Jay reports the robbery of a skateboard and a few wheels as well, but what will he do when he finds out who really did it?

A girl named Faith (Danielle Panabaker) comes to Playa Linda to look at colleges. She sees potential in Bradin and tries to motivate him to go to college. Unfortunately Bradins only aspirations are to be a surfer. Faith helps motivate him to see that theres more than just surfing.
