A surprise inspection puts VicMu employees under the gun giving Lorna an opportunity to finally rid the factory of Marco, and Gladys must defend herself against a thief to prove Kate’s innocence.

With Armistice Day approaching, battles near and far are cast into stark relief. Lorna struggles to free herself from Marco while Gladys’s secret engagement is exposed.

A worried Lorna worries for the safety of her sons during a difficult time. Meanwhile, Gladys isolates herself to fight her own private battles, and Betty has an unexpected reunion with a soldier.

An intrepid reporter visits VicMu, shaking things up and causing Lorna to examine her value at work; Kate takes an innovative approach to jump-starting her career. Thanks to Clifford, Gladys sees a different side of her father.

Gladys is torn between her duty and her friendships. Lorna wrestles with her familys changing dynamics and Marco realizes that people are working against him.
