Superbook

When Chris disobeys his father by sneaking into the Quantum lab to look at the Professor’s latest invention, he has an accident that almost destroys the top secret work-in-progress. Chris is mortified and doesn’t know what he’ll say to his father. SUPERBOOK intervenes and takes our three heroes on a journey to witness Lucifer’s fall and transformation into Satan during a blistering heavenly battle.

In the Quantum yard, during a spirited water fight, Joy accidentally gets Gizmos inner workings wet, and he fritzes out. Chris becomes furious with Joy, saying hell never forgive her. Superbook intercedes and whisks the kids back to the days of Jacob and Esau. The two brothers compete over many things, but when Esau gives up his birthright and Jacob tricks his father out of a blessing, they become estranged for many years. When Jacob finally goes to Esau and his brother finds it in his heart to forgive Jacob, Chris takes the cue and forgives Joy, as well.

The Quantum family along with Joy and Gizmo are enjoying a family camp out when Chris secretly decides it’ll be more adventurous to ignore the rules laid down by his parents and the park ranger. His flagrant disregard causes Superbook to send our dynamic trio on a trip back in time so they can learn that rules are in place to protect you -- not to make your life no fun!

Chris is morally challenged “to do the right thing" when a smaller boy, Tommy, is harassed by Skateboard Park bully, Barry. Superbook takes the kids on an adventure where they meet Daniel and King Darius in the land of Babylon. Through this adventure, Chris learns that no matter how difficult the situation, when you stand up for what is right, God will be with you.

When Chris begins to believe that Miraculo The Miracle Maker magician possesses real powers, Superbook whisks the kids off to historical Galilee where Jesus is performing true miracles like healing a cripple, calming a storm on the sea, and banishing demons from a possessed man. During the course of their miraculous adventure, Chris comes to understand the power to perform miracles comes only from God.

Chris is arguing with his mom, Phoebe. Superbook intervenes and, in a very special episode, takes Chris, Joy, Gizmo, AND Phoebe back in time for an encounter with Jesus’ mother Mary during the time of her sons crucifixion. When Superbook returns the family home, a wiser Chris apologizes for their argument, and their relationship is restored.

After Chris accidentally burns down his familys home, he is sure that there is no forgiveness for something this big! Superbook then takes Chris, Joy and Gizmo to witness the end of days. Through this experience, he discovers the greatness of God’s forgiveness and restoration.

Chris has a very precise plan for how he is going to get what he wants; and he cant handle it when things dont go according to his own plan. Superbook transports him back to ancient Egypt. As he watches Joseph rise from prisoner to governor of Egypt and gain a long lost bond with his brothers, Chris learns to forego his own plans and trust a little more in Gods plans instead.

At school, Joy is not getting along with Becky (a new student). Suddenly, Superbook sends Joy, Chris, and Gizmo to a time where Israelite spies team up with Rahab. Joy learns that those who seem like enemies can get along and find common ground.

When Chris is faced with a challenge between choosing to act truthfully or to take the easy and more "fun" pathway, Superbook whisks the kids back to meet John the Baptizer. During an exciting journey that takes the kids from witnessing John preach and baptize on the Jordan River, all the way through to his incarceration and ultimate death at the hands of Herodias and King Herod, Chris comes to understand what it means to live truthfully and point others toward in the direction of being more like Jesus. When Chris returns home, he applies what hes learned. Although it doesnt change the boy he is trying to help, Chris himself is that much stronger, for the effort hes putting in and for the experience of meeting John the Baptizer firsthand.

During the worst week of his life, Chris loses his grandpa. He feels as if he cannot go on. He wants to give up on doing what is right. Suddenly, Superbook sends Chris, Joy, and Gizmo to a time when Job is tested by God.

When Joy is called to leadership in a difficult situation, she has to choose between taking the challenge or running scared. Superbook sends Joy, Chris, and Gizmo to a time when Gideon overcomes a difficult battle with the Midianites. This adventure encourages Joy to walk with God and conquer the task at hand.

Aaron (a friend of Chris) gets in trouble with his father. He hides. Chris begins to wonder if what Aaron did can be forgiven. Superbook sends Joy, Chris, and Gizmo to a time when Jesus tells stories. One story shows us that no matter what we do, God will always accept us back into His family with open arms when we say we are sorry.

Chris mom forgets that he has a trip planned to the lake and volunteers him to help his Great Aunt Isabel do yard work for the weekend. Superbook takes Chris, Joy, and Gizmo to meet someone who gave up everything to show kindness to her family. They meet Ruth, a young woman from Moab whose husband died, leaving her alone with her mother-in-law, Naomi. Then a kindhearted relative steps in to change their lives forever.

Phoebe is babysitting two-year-old Charlie for her friend, Mrs. Peterson. Joy has a hard time with the tyke, and she doesn’t want to help take care of him – “No way. Not now. Not ever!” Superbook appears and takes Chris, Joy, Gizmo, and Charlie to witness the birth of John the Baptist.

Joy is upset because she’s in charge of a big service project. She has done all the leadership work but finds no one is doing her bidding with the follow-up details. Superbook whisks the kids off to meet Naaman’s servant girl and follow Naaman’s story through to his amazing cure of leprosy.

Chris vows to take revenge on some teens, but Superbook whisks the trio off to meet David, who has become a great warrior and foe to an angry and jealous King Saul. Chris watches as David shows mercy to Saul. After seeing David’s act of mercy, Chris decides against vengeance, and leaves judgement to God.

Joy is embarrassed by video of her eating that was posted online by a girl named Barbara. Joy plans to get even by posting an embarrassing video of Barb taking a tumble during cheer leading practice. Before she can upload the video, Superbook takes the kids back in time to witness miracles performed by the prophet Elisha as he narrowly escapes harm from Syrian soldiers sent to capture him.

Chris faces a challenge he never imagined when his father leaves him in charge of an important project. When he is unsure of what to do, Superbook takes the kids back to ancient Jerusalem where they meet King Solomon. There, Solomon encourages Chris to share his burdens with the Lord and to pray for wisdom.

While a “starving” Joy is looking forward to pizza, Chris is concerned about a girl and her brother who have nothing to eat. Superbook whisks the kids to time when Jesus told the parable of the Good Samaritan.

Joy and Chris are running late for school. If Chris gets one more ticket by the schools strict, letter-of-the-law student Hall Monitor, hell find himself in after-school detention. When Chris enlists Gizmos help to try to camouflage their way into school, his plan doesnt work. He and Joy get caught. Chris begs for mercy, knowing full well this thorn-in-his-side wont budge. The Hall Monitor has no interest in giving Chris special treatment over anyone else. Chris attitude about how unlikable this guy is-even though Chris is in the wrong and the guy is just doing his job-prompts Superbooks arrival. Chris thinks he can escape to a place where he is king of his own world. Only this time, Superbook brings the Hall Monitor back with them! Superbook brings them back to a time when Peter needed to learn that God doesnt have favorites.

Chris, Joy and Gizmo meet Solomon, who builds the Temple planned by his father, King David.

Chris, Joy and Gizmo see how Jesus heals people who are blind, physically and spiritually.

Chris, Joy and Gizmo see God provide for the prophet Elijah, a poor widow, and her son.

Chris, Joy and Gizmo meet Jeremiah, who is persecuted for speaking Gods message.

Jia Wei embarrasses Chris by inviting students to a Bible study group. Superbook whisks the kids away to journey with Paul and Barnabas on their mission to spread the message of Jesus. They witness Pauls miracle, blinding an evil sorcerer and converting the Roman Governor to a believer in Jesus. The job becomes too much for disciple John Mark, who abandons the work and returns to Jerusalem. Paul and Barnabas continue spreading the Gospel against all manner of adversity including Paul being stoned and Barnabas and Paul separating over a disagreement. Chris takes their example to heart and when Superbook returns him to school, he, Joy, and Gizmo stand up for Jia Wei and his Bible study group. Chris takes a small, first step, on a journey towards pronouncing the Gospel as the power to Salvation.

Just as Joy is heading out to the waterpark, she learns that her parents are helping at the community outreach drive today. As Joy grapples with what to do, Superbook appears and whisks the kids back to ancient Egypt. The kids meet Miriam who is helping her family hide her baby brother from the Egyptians. Pharaoh has decreed that all Hebrew baby boys be thrown into the Nile River! When the family can no longer hide the baby, he is placed in a basket and sent down the Nile River. Pharaohs daughter discovers him and decides to adopt Miriams baby brother as her son and names him Moses. After returning home Joy realizes that God had a plan for Moses, and maybe for her, too! She decides to seek God to reveal that plan and chooses to help out at the community drive by adopting a more mission-driven focus.

Chris is excited about his upcoming baptism; so much so that he forgets to show up at Joys volunteer event. Superbook whisks them back to meet a tax collector named Zacchaeus in ancient Jericho. The kids are amazed to watch how a sinner like Zacchaeus is transformed when he meets Jesus. Joy sees that Jesus came to seek and save the lost—including herself! Joy realizes that she also needs to accept Jesus as her Savior—just as Zacchaeus did—and begins to understand why Chris is so excited about being baptized. Joy prays to receive Jesus and then shares the good news with her parents.

Chris and Joy are excited about their upcoming baptism. As they look through old photo albums, Chris wonders why his family never were church goers, as his grandparents were. Phoebe overhears this conversation and becomes emotional. Chris notices his moms reaction, and wishes he could ask her about his questions. Superbook takes the kids back to meet Isaiah, a prophet who became Gods mouthpiece. Chris realizes he can be Gods mouthpiece with his mom. When he returns, his mother admits her heart has been stirred back toward God ever since Chris started talking about his baptism. Chris prays with his mom at the end, as the door to her heart is beginning to open to God again

Joy is excited to have new Christian friends and church activities to be wrapped up in. But, when one of Joy’s oldest and best friends invites her to her birthday party, Joy is unsure about going because it conflicts with a church group event. Joy doesnt know how to be the "new her" around her "old friends" who are not Christians. What if they don’t accept her? Is it okay to hang out with unsaved friends? Superbook takes the kids back to three Bible stories: The Parable of the Great Supper, The Calling of Matthew, the Tax Collector and The Sinful Woman. Joy is surprised when she sees how Jesus chose to spend so much of his time with sinners, tax collectors, the poor and those with infirmities. Jesus accepted everyone.

Superbook takes Chris, Joy and Gizmo to see how Jesus is arrested, yet heals a wounded guard, and forgives those who kill him. Then Stephen forgives the people who stone him to death. Discover how mercy overpowers hatred and revenge!

Superbook takes Chris, Joy and Gizmo—plus QBIT, a droid—to meet the Apostle Paul as he travels from Athens to Corinth. Discover how God reveals Himself through creation in the grand finale of this two-part adventure. The children learn to share how they know that God is real!

Chris has writers block while trying to come up with a new Christmas song for the youth groups Christmas service. He needs inspiration like writers of Christmas hymns in the past. Superbook whisks our heroes away to witness Bible stories they have experienced on previous Superbook trips like the Garden of Eden, Abraham and Sarah, Moses birth and leading Gods people from Egypt, Ruth and Boaz and David and Goliath. Finally, the kids watch as Mary is told by the Angel Gabriel that she will give birth to the Son of God. With that, Chris, Joy and Gizmo are whisked home and Chris has his inspiration for his new song – "Promise of a Child."

When Superbook takes Chris and Joy on an adventure, Gizmo is left behind! The robot frantically tries to locate his friends while they witness Noah building an ark even though there is no rain, and Rahab bravely hiding the Israelite spies that Joshua sent into Jericho. The children learn how to be a hero in God’s eyes!
