S1E1 - Heidi and Tim Are Back 2020-03-27

Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn welcome 12 designers to New York City and tell them to pack their bags because their first fashion show will be in front of the Eiffel tower in Paris. In their first assignment, the designers must create a two-look brand snapshot. One designer lets self-doubt get in her way, while another has to make a new dress from scratch with only a few hours remaining.

S1E2 - Haute Couture 2020-03-27

Heidi and Tim meet up with the designers to give them their next assignment: a two-look, Haute-Couture inspired mini collection for a fashion show that will take place at the historic Musée Des Arts Décoratifs. As the fashion show draws near, an indecisive designer struggles to stay on track, while another designer attempts to push their creative boundaries.

In teams of two, the designers must blend their individual aesthetics into a three-look collection for a runway show on the banks of the River Seine. One designer struggles to overcome a teammates mistake, while another pair of designers butt heads.

S1E8 - Brand Evolution 2020-04-17

Tim and Heidi take the four remaining designers to a serene tea ceremony before revealing the next assignment. In a twist, the designers must interview with Vogue Business to promote their brand before hitting the runway. One gets the win while one designer is sent home before they can even unpack.

Heidi and Tim give the designers their next assignment: a two-look, resortwear mini collection for a fashion show that will take place on a floating runway. One designer is redeemed after a weak showing in the first assignment while another designer fails to wow the judges with original prints and is eliminated.

The designers hear wedding bells as they are tasked with creating a three-look modern bridal collection — in teams of two. While some teams work well together, others bicker and fight to have their voices heard, and in the end, an unprecedented decision by the judges leaves everyone in shock.

The designers will work in collaboration with iconic American brand, Levis, to create a two-look denim collection, with one look being an Avant-Garde denim showstopper. Many of the designers bring their A-game, giving the judges a tough decision while other designers falter and are forced to fight for their lives to avoid elimination.

The designers must create a two-look collection representative of their brands journey for a marketing campaign video. One designer struggles with exhaustion from the competition while others struggle with the challenges of the assignment, giving the judges one of their toughest decisions of the season.

S2E7 - Concept Stores 2021-08-06

The final three can smell the $1 million, but before having the opportunity to create their final collection, they are tasked with designing up to 8 new looks to display in a concept store that represents their brand. All of the designers feel the pressure, not wanting to be sent home only one assignment away from the finals.

In the season finale of Making the Cut, the final designers must present a business pitch to the President of Amazon Fashion and showcase a final ten-look collection. One designer is crowned the winner of Making the Cut, receiving a mentorship, an exclusive line on Amazon, and $1 million to invest into their brand.

S3E1 - Evening Wear 2022-08-18

Ten designers from around the world arrive in Los Angeles, CA ready to win 1 million dollars, but to stay in the competition they must impress the judges with two evening wear looks that represent their brand.

S3E2 - Activewear Champions 2022-08-18

The designers must create a two-look activewear collection representative of their brand. The winner will have the opportunity to create a capsule collection with iconic brand Champion.

S3E3 - Winter Wear 2022-08-25

For their next assignment, the designers must create two winter outerwear looks that represent their brand. One designer will win, and one will be left out in the cold.

S3E4 - One Day, One Team 2022-08-25

In a one day assignment, the designers must work as a team to create a cohesive collection while still representing their brands aesthetic.

S3E5 - Festival Wear 2022-09-01

Coming off of the strongest runway of the season, the remaining designers are assigned to create a two-look festival wear collection, leading many of them to face their biggest challenge yet and end with a shocking result.

S3E6 - Social Media Content 2022-09-01

For the last assignment, before the final four are decided, the designers must create a two-look collection and a social media video representing their brand.

S3E7 - Concept Store 2022-09-08

After spending one month away to focus on their final collections, the designers return to the studio to prep their concept stores. With the finale in sight, one designer will go home before their collection every sees the light of day.

S3E8 - Finale 2022-09-08
