In a magical world made with dream scenery, always put husbands and exuberant energy, Veronica, a girl who grows up in a home for children, receives a birthday present from her fairy godmother, played by Margareta Paslaru a magic bag that will fulfill any desire. Veronica refuses to share this gift with other children and for this is punished by Zana. From this moment the dream adventures of Veronica become very exciting. New characters appear as Puss Danila, played by Dem Radulescu, goody fox (Vasilica Tastaman), cricket, played by Florian Pitis and mouse in which we can see the role of George Michael. Elisabeta Bostan, iconic film director and writer of Romanian children waited for two years for permission to start the movie, filming in 1972 by launching a villa situated in the Prahova Valley, in ruins but gave Giulio Tincu life, high designer of his time.

The hero is a retired army officer in the period of transition in Romania from the Communist rule to democracy. As many aged people during these times he loses a lot in position and material situation and is too aged to adapt and start building something from zero. His last resort is the family, but his home and family is also slowly decomposing under the pressure of the times. His elder son dies in a stupid home accident (the film starts with his funeral), than his only other child, a daughter moves to America in the search of a better material life. His life seems to fall under the control of his in-law, a mercantile and much better adapted man, who slowly seems to deprive him not only of his children, but also of his pride and human dignity. The end is unexpected, but if you look back and reflect on what youve seen on screen, it becomes logical.

Adi (40), a shy and introverted anthropologist, who got recently dumped by his girlfriend, moves to Ferentari, the poorest and most notorious neighborhood of Bucharest. He wants to write a study on manele music, the pop music of the Roma community. Manele music serves as a way out of poverty for some successful musicians, but more often its just another opportunity for the mafia pimps to make money off their acts and keep them in slave-like dependency. While researching this subject, Adi meets Alberto, a Roma ex-convict and a bear of a man, who promises Adi to help him. Soon enough, the unlikely pair begins a playful romance in which Adi feeds Alberto with improbable plans of escaping poverty, while Alberto feeds Adi with phrases of love. Little by little, their casual affair grows into love. And the funny and sweet teasing turns into something precarious, since Alberto is both dangerous and fragile and belongs to a world whose codes Adi doesnt understand.
