Unlocked by formally trivial questions, they begin their journey into the depths of their own feelings and emotions towards the place where they live. The city itself becomes only a starting point. Over time, conversations get more intimate. The scenes from life, reminiscences and highly emotional moments interlace with the subjectively perceived shots of the city. They are blending together, complementing and interacting with each other. The fears of the film characters, their desires and unfinished affairs become the narrative axis of the film by constituting a common fate.

The Reconciliation

Beginning of 1945, Poland. At the just liberated areas, the Communist Security Service eliminates its enemies under the pretext of punishing ational traitors. It organizes a labor camp for Germans, Silesians and Poles, at the site of a former Nazi concentration camp, which is named Zgoda/Reconciliation. Franek, who is in love with a Polish prisoner Anna, joins the camp crew to rescue her. He doesnt know that one of the inmates is Erwin, his German friend, who, like himself, has also loved Anna for a long time. Franek joins Communists in the illusory hope of outsmarting the system.

Based on a well-known Polish novel with the same title the movie re-tells a true life story of a group of scouts called Szare Szeregi (Gray Ranks) during the Nazi occupation of Warsaw and the liberation of one of its members (imprisoned and tortured by the Germans) through a maverick military action in board daylight right under the enemys nose known Action at the Arsenal which was the biggest single feat of the sort undertaken by a youth resistance organisation in all of occupied Europe during WWII.

Thanks to the auditory implant, Grzegorz begins to learn sounds, words and music with which he falls in love. He wants to become a pianist and perform at the philharmonic hall. Nobody but himself and his closest family believes that a deaf boy - although supported by modern technology - will make his dream come true.
