The 24-Hour Race at the Nuerburgring is known as the worlds biggest motorsports event. More than 200,000 fans set up their camp in the Eifel forest and cheer for their heroes in the 210 race cars. Lap after lap. Hour after hour. Day and night. Its the stage for great stories. Sorrow and joy. Excitement and exertion. Drama and emotions. You will hardly find any event that brings the extremes this close together. In the thick of things, last years winner BMWs two cars and 70 team members. For months, engineers, mechanics and the eight pilots have been preparing for the most important race of the year. The filmmakers Tim and Nick Hahne captured it all with their cameras - from the first test drive to the chequered flag coming down - and accompanied the BMW team on the way to achieving its goal: winning the 24-Hour Race. The filmmakers were able to gain unusual glimpses beneath the drivers helmets and insights into the strategies to conquer the worlds hardest long-distance race. The story is told up close, with compelling pictures. It turns race car drivers into actors. Their fascinating cars become their co-stars. The Nordschleife is the set. And the race over the course evolves into the plot of the film.

The shape of planet Earth is not perfectly spherical. It rather looks like a potato. Climate scientist Phoebe Phaidon starts with a teaching contract at the Institute for Cybernetics at Berlin University to take over the seminar Introduction to Simulation Studies of Brenda Berger, head of the institute. Brenda needs to attend to her externally funded project - a virtual simulation of climate change - in hopes of preventing the threatened shutdown of her institute by the university board. Everything depends on a successful evaluation at the end of the semester. Phoebe is obliged to work on the simulation, and a corporate consultant is hired as a motivational coach for the institutes employees. Meanwhile, endowed professor Alfons Abstract-Wege gains attention with a project on nutrition control: nudging becomes the magic word. Phoebes students suspect a corporate interest at play behind Abract-Weges research and disrupt daily operations by occupying the universitys library. Phoebe travels to a conference in Gdansk, Poland with her colleague Julius Kelp to decipher the secret behind the looming apocalypse. Time is running out. Judgement Day is dawning.
