Alexandra Pianelli is a graduate of the Decorative Arts of Strasbourg She focuses her practice on the notions of work and play likes the doityourself and defines herself as a Swiss Army knife Her work is based on a quest for the other The one we dont see even if we live next door She starts with a documentary approach in which reality joins fiction For the past few years she has been making films about her workplace bread and butter jobs where we see her both at work and in the process of making a film that this job allows her to do as an artist to no longer divide herself between searching for ways to live and time dedicated to art
