Ian Leung

Ian Leung is an actor director playwright and producer based in Edmonton Alberta Canada He holds a BFA in acting and an MFA in theatre direction both from the University of Alberta As an actor he has worked for companies across Canada including Workshop West Theatre Network and the Citadel Theatre in Edmonton and the Gateway Theatre Neptune Theatre the National Arts Centre and the Stratford and Shaw Festivals elsewhere He has been a freelance director since 2007 most notably staging theatre no 6s first production and his own first play U The Comedy of Global Warming in December 2009 Since then he has directed Wallace Shawns The Fever and Michael Healeys Proud for theatre no 6 as well as The Other Side of the Pole for Prime Stock Theatre in Red Deer He regularly teaches an acting course for the University of Albertas Department of Drama and is currently working on a new play
