Hesam Dehghani

Hesam Dehghani was born on September 17 1977 in Tehran as the first child of a physics teacher father and a history teacher mother As a young boy he became intrigued with playing the violin He attended Iran University of Science and Technology in 1995 and studied computer engineering He made his first student short film The Incredible Story of the Computer Campus 2000 for the universitys Film Center As a student he directed 3 more short films which brought him to the attention of Irans National TV Organization He was invited to join The Virtual Studio Project one of the most important projects in IRIB He worked both as a technical engineer and a film director He learned the basics of screenplay writing and film making from his neighbor Ebrahim Hatamikia he also attended various training courses including Techniques of NonLinear Editing in Harris Companys head office in Bracknell United Kingdom in 2003 Hesam worked in various short and documentary film projects as a writer director and producer His movies Train Station 2015 Trauma 2020 and Lost Empire of Persia 2022 received international awards
