Kartal Tibet 27 March 1939 Ankara 1 July 2021 was a Turkish actor director screenwriter and producer He took part in nearly two hundred movies and TV series as actor director and screenwriter In cinema he first played the lead role in the comic book adaptations Karao?lan and Tarkan adventure films In the 1970s he shared the lead roles with many actors including Hülya Koçyi?it Türkan ?oray Fatma Girik Hale Soygazi and Filiz Ak?n Tibet made his directorial debut in 1977 with Tosun Pasha and directed 56 films more than twenty of which starred Kemal Sunal He also wrote the screenplays for films such as Davaro ?endul ?aban and ?abaniye He was awarded the Golden Orange Film Festival Lifetime Honor Award in 2002 and the Y?ld?r?m Önal Memorial Award in 2006 for his contributions to Turkish cinema He died on July 1 2021 in Istanbul at the age of 82
