Richard Van Vleet also sometimes credited as Richard Van Fleet or Rick Van Vleet is an American actor producer screenwriter and director He played the role of Dr Chuck Tyler on All My Children from 1975 to 1984 from 1989 to 1992 and again in 1995 and 2005 and as Dr Ed Bauer on Guiding Light from 1984 to 1986 In the late 1960s and early 1970s Van Vleet had numerous guest starring roles on some of the most popular prime time series at the time such as Mannix Cannon Marcus Welby MD McCloud Adam12 Dragnet The Virginian and Ironside He also appeared in the movies Airport though uncredited Angel in My Pocket and Ben released early in his career More recently he has spent more time behind the camera as producer of Bikini Planet 2002 and writerdirector of Retribution 1998 Richard Van Vleet has directed and written such movies as Bikini Planet Retribution and Trailer Trash In 2008 he proposed and directed Ryan and Seans Not So Excellent Adventure for YouTube celebrities Ryan Higa and Sean Fujiyoshi
