Albert Uderzo

Albert Uderzo was a French comic book artist and scriptwriter He is best known for his work on the Astérix series but also drew other comics such as Oumpahpah also in collaboration with René Goscinny  After Goscinnys death in 1977 Uderzo continued to write and illustrate the books on his own though at a significantly slower pace averaging one album every three to five years compared to two albums a year when working with Goscinny The cover credits still read Goscinny and Uderzo
