Nguyen Stanton

Nguyen pronounced Win Stanton is a VietnameseAmerican actress and model living in Austin Texas She was born XuanNguyen Huynh in Vietnam She was a Vietnam War refugee arriving in Topeka Kansas in 1975 She graduated from DeBakey High School for Health Professions in 1987 Four years later she graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a BA in English Literature and Composition and with certification in Secondary School Education In 2000 she moved to San Francisco California where she began her career in nonprofit management and in media consulting In 2006 she returned to Austin Texas where she began her acting career She started out in theatre in 2008 with her home troupe The Barons Men dedicated to historically accurate presentation of Shakespearean and Elizabethan plays She has also performed in numerous productions at The Way Off Broadway Community Players in Leander Texas and at other theaters in and around Austin In 2009 she began acting in films and has played many different roles including ninja invalid sex worker mom murder victim detective nurse surgeon in a variety of genres including martial arts science fiction thriller drama comedy She also does runway modeling showcasing the work of local designers
