Fina Torres

Fina Torres is a film director She became known by winning la Caméra dOr award at the 1985 Cannes Film Festival with her directorial debut film Oriana  She studied design photography and journalism in Venezuela and later on film at the Institut des hautes études cinématographiques in Paris She now lives in Mexico and the United States  She continues to work with film projects related to Latin America as well as giving workshops in direction and script writing in Venezuela Her notable works include Mécaniques célestes Celestial Clockwork 1995 Woman on Top 2000 Habana Eva Havana Eva 2008
