Simon wrote and directed the spectacular indie scifi movie Invasion Planet Earth which on release was one of the top 20 films in the UK He has over 30 years experience as an editor and director in the British film industry where he started as an editor in childrens TV Described as a ludicrously ambitious filmmaker by the UKs Guardian Newspaper his love of filmmaking started at 14 when his super 8mm film Battle in Outer Space featured on the BBC TV show Screen Test At 16 his second film Circles of a World was commended at the 9th Tokyo Film Festival In 2005 the Horror Channel described him as one of the UKs hottest up and coming directors when they screened his first feature film Written in Blood He has directed and edited numerous short films feature films commercials documentaries and corporate productions
