Karel van Bellingen is a writerdirector hailing from Brussels Belgium Eyeing a career in filmmaking since early childhood which was mostly spent drawing cowboys constructing electric robots and building lifesize spaceships in his parents basement his first love was special effects Eventually growing out of this obsession he spent some time at university earning degrees in social sciences and cultural studies before moving to London and completing his MA in filmmaking from the London Film School specializing in editing and directing Still Londonbased Karel has worked extensively in narrative fiction and advertising as a director editor and creative His ambitious half hour scifi epic THE LEAP garnered global industry attention and led to several feature projects currently being in development
