José Luis Valle

José Luis Valle is a director producer and screenwriter born in El Salvador who has become a Mexican citizen where he studied literature and film In 2006 he directed the short film Quimera which won the competition of the Kodak Film School and received an Honorable Mention at the International Festival of the Cina in Guadalajara In 2009 his documentary The Miracle of the Pope was screened at the Locarno Film Festival After receiving support from the World Film Fund his first fiction feature film Trabajadores was released in 2013 in the Panorama section of the Berlinale and won the Abrazo DOr for Best Latin American Film at the Festival de Biarritz France the Colón de Oro for the best IberoAmerican film at the IberoAmerican Festival of Huelva Spain and the Best First Film Award both at the Guadalajara and Morelia festivals Search also garnered awards for Best Mexican Feature Film at festivals in the Riviera Maya and Monterrey
