Peter Turner is a Liverpoolborn actor writer and director He joined the National Youth Theatre aged sixteen working extensively in theatre film and television He is the author of Film Stars Dont Die in Liverpool the true story of his intimate friendship with Hollywood star Gloria Grahame His memoir was turned into a movie in 2017 in which he had a small cameo Jamie Bell played Turner as a young man opposite Annette Bening as Grahame
