Michael Faulkner

Best known for improv sketch comedy and Shakespeare Michael Faulkner is a prolific legit stage actor who has played regional theaters all over the United States and toured the world with sketch comedy troupe The Reduced Shakespeare Company He is a graduate of the Second City Training Center and in Los Angeles has appeared at the Getty Villa with the Troubador Theater Company as well as at IOWest UCB and the Comedy Central Stage He regularly narrates the shows in the Samuel Oschin Planetarium at Griffith Observatory Since his first professional appearance at age 14 at Shakespeare Santa Cruz he has tackled many Shakespearean clowns at professional theaters throughout California A thriving commercial actor you may have seen him airdrumming in a Volkswagen catching fly balls for Lexus or accompanying ARod and Nomar Garciaparra on Amtrak A musician as well as an actor Michael performs songs from the American songbook as onehalf of the musical duo Mike and Mandy He was formerly the singer in a ska band and drummer for two different acid jazz funk bands
