Drew Fortier is an awardwinning filmmaker actor author and musician known for his work with a multitude of artists spanning many mediums most recently and notably as a cofounder and guitarist for The Lucid which also features Sponge front man Vinnie Dombroski Megadeth cofounderbassist David Ellefson and Fear Factory drummer Mike Heller Fortier established himself as a multifaceted creative force by way of directing the critically acclaimed rock documentary Attack of Life The Bang Tango Movie followed by joining Bang Tango as a guitarist which led him to write Dark Depressing and Hilarious a sarcastic and sardonic memoir about his eclectic experiences cutting his teeth in the music business up to that point which also included joining the solo band for now late Faith No More frontman Chuck Mosley After taking a left turn into acting Fortier costarred in the low budget cult horror film Her Name Was Christa which has been critically acclaimed as being the most romantic necrophilia love story ever told In 2021 he went on to portray a fictionalized version of himself in the critically confused and multi awardwinning zero budget found footage horror film Dwellers which has been described as CHUD if it were shot like The Blair Witch Project Fortier has gone on to costar in films Brimstone Incorporated Trivial and the upcoming Side Effects May Vary which is indie cult legend JR Bookwalters first directorial effort in twenty years In addition to his book Dark Depressing and Hilarious he also coauthored the fiction thriller Rock Star Hitman with The Lucid bandmate David Ellefson 2023 saw the release of Saddle Up and Ride the sophomore effort from The Lucid a 5 track EP which features Insane Clown Posses Violent J on guest vocals
