Carolyn Dunn

Carolyn Dunn is a Canadian actress who is best known for her role as Sylvie Gerard in the television series Tropical Heat She was born in Whitney Pier Nova Scotia Canada on March 18 1961 She began her acting career in the late 1970s appearing in several television movies and miniseries In 1985 she starred in the Canadian comedy series Head Office Dunns breakthrough role came in 1989 when she was cast as Sylvie Gerard in Tropical Heat The series which was also known as Sweating Bullets in the United States ran for four seasons and made Dunn a household name in Canada In addition to Tropical Heat Dunn has appeared in several other television series including The Outer Limits Street Legal and The XFiles She has also starred in several films including Breaking All the Rules Charlie Grace and The Death of Alice Blue In recent years Dunn has focused on her career as a poet She has published two collections of poetry Outfoxing Coyote 2001 and Echolocation Poems and Stories 2007 She is also a certified holistic health practitioner and owns an alternative medicine clinic in her hometown of Whitney Pier
