The film tells, through the testimonies of a group of fans, club legends personalities and managers, the essence and history of Italys oldest football club, Genoa. The symbiosis between the city of Genoa and its soccer team is the heart of the documentary, celebrating one of the most passionate and loyal fans in Italy and tracing the history of Italys longest-running club, analyzing the deep meaning of being Genoan. Thus emerges the sense of belonging, the desire to support ones community, to share its joys and sorrows, however and wherever. Genoa comunque e ovunque (Genoa Whatever Wherever) is above all the tale of an irrational and extra-football sentiment, referred to by many in the film as a disease, that unites, of a passion that is renewed from generation to generation, as the testimonies of the films various interviewees show.
