Part concert, part documentary, this film follows a band that rarely looks backward, yet for this project, they had to reflect on - and deconstruct - the bands history, in order to create something very new.

After a 37 year absence Cream reformed in May 2005 for a series of concerts at the Royal Albert Hall, the stage of their last UK performance. As befitting a trio whose focus was always squarely on the music, they emerge to no fanfare, briefly test their instruments and launch into the perfectly apt Im So Glad. Drawing from each of their four studio albums, they revisit the songs for their inherent resonance and as a springboard for their instrumental interplay. Theres no need to update the material, as it all still fits each of the three men like a thousand dollar suit. Bruces vocals still soar with operatic bearing, Clapton sounds energized, freed from the production cushioning on his own recordings, and Baker, now in his mid-sixties, can still dazzle with his solo turn on Toad.

A dance of shapes. A title card tells us this is an experiment in conveying the mental images of music in a visual form. Liszts \Second Hungarian Rhapsody\ is the music. The shapes, all two-dimensional, are circles primarily, with some squares and rectangles, and a few triangles. The shapes move rhythmically to the music: receding from view or moving across the screen. Red circles on a blue background; light blue squares; white rectangles. Then, a red background of many circles with a few in the foreground. Red gives way to blue then to white. Shapes reappear as Liszts themes re-occur. Then, with a few staccato notes and images, its over.
