In the Summer of 1971 the Glastonbury legend was born when the organisers decided to try and create a festival that would be a forerunner for an alternative and utopian society. The festival encompassed Midsummers Day, and in true medieval tradition, the area of Worthy Farm, Pilton was given over to music, dance, poetry, theatre, spontaneous entertainment and nudity.

The life of man is poor and nasty. A few plants give temporary relief: marijuana, alcohol, and opium. After a history of opium, including the 19th-century Opium Wars, we learn of the discovery of heroin; the rest of the film examines heroin trade and addiction in the U.S. Two tons a year enter the U.S., with only 100 pounds interdicted. Most is used in New York City. Interviews with customs officials, prosecutors, medical doctors and junkies provide points of view. The harsh 1956 law and the medically-oriented law of 1966 are contrasted, with the film on the side of treatment and rehabilitation. It ends with advocating reducing use here and finding other cash crops for farmers abroad.

This is a witty and well shot documentary about the Page family, Father, two sons and two daughters are shown living deep in the woods of Sussex. The film is dated 1971 (and a Tax Disk shown shows 1970) yet the family are blissfully unaware of man having already reached the moon, postulate on how this might be done. This aside they demonstrate some fine lateral thinking and through their naive delivery come the fears and concerns still relevant today, pollution, intensive farming, mechanisation

FIDEL provides a unique view of Cubas controversial and most polarizing leader. In 1968, Castro took filmmaker and activist Saul Landau on a weeklong jeep ride through the eastern mountains. There, he plays baseball with a group of peasants, visits his pre-school and trades jokes with a 98-year old man. Fidel also listens to the peoples concerns about food distribution, bad roads and transportation. Landau captures Cubas revolutionary chief early in the morning in his tent. The camera zooms in on his dirty and delicate fingernails holding his trademark cigar while he tells a story of SÃmon Bolivar and offers tactical advice to guerrilla warriors throughout the Third World. The film contains rare and fascinating archive footage of the Bay of Pigs invasion and scenes of Che Guevara alongside interviews with political prisoners. Spectacular photography and editing with hot Cuban music provide the cinematic aesthetics that give this film beautiful form to accompany its exciting content.
