Goofy narrates his own quest to Africa accompanied by various tour guides. He is in search of wild game. After run-ins with various animals while camping for the night and taking his morning plunge (ruined by a hippo that takes all the water with him when exiting the pool), he sets off in search of the black rhinoceros. Unfortunately for Goofy, the rhino is prepared for Goofy (thanks to a stool pigeon bird resting on his horn) and charges him. Goofy tries his gun against the rhino but the rhino is still to much for Goofy so he leaves Africa and leaves the rhino for other hunters.

He tries opening a window, using an electric blanket, drinking hot milk, counting sheep; nothing works. He consults a scientist who studies Goofys sleeping habits and finally finds a cure for Goofys insomnia.

Finally, he asks a man for a cigar and the man gladly gives him one...an exploding cigar which finally has Goofy vowing, I quit!.

Barry escapes, just before the police raid the hippies hiding place - to claim that Ovis was in a orgy and get the bill defeated - and dashes back to his and Joans flat followed by Inspector Ruff, who is investigating the kidnap and Damina, one of the hippies. Meanwhile, the Minister is also trying to use the flat to carry on his affairs with both Wendy and Miss Parkyn. The Minister, Barry u0026 Joan tries to keep the truth from Ruft, Wilfred Potts, an old and honest MP, Birdie, the Ministers wife and stop the hippies, and this causes no end of trouble.
