Maisie Gets Her Man

Parting company with her on-stage partner Professor Orco partly due to the job being potentially hazardous to her health, streetwise but kind-hearted vaudeville performer Maisie Ravier, in Chicago, goes on a search for another job. That search takes her to a commercial building where a talent agency is located. There, she encounters many people that will play a role in her immediate future. The first is Hap Hixby, a young man who is trying to break into show business with a somewhat corny comedy routine. The second is Pappy Goodring, the building manager who has a heart of gold and who has troubles collecting rent from most of the tenants, which irks his boss, the officious Mr. Stickwell. And third is Marshall Denningham, who owns his own bottled water business and who is one of the few tenants in the building who seems to be able to make his rent payments on time. Of the opportunities that come her way, she accepts Haps offer to be his on-stage partner, as she would like another performing gig, and she is falling for Hap. What may be obstacles in a Maisie/Hap happy ending are Haps abilities or inabilities as a stage performer, Hap getting in over his head with a business venture, and a young woman named Elsie McIntyre, Haps girl back home.

Porky comes in and gets spooked by some flapping curtains. When he comes back in, the ghost puts a couple frogs into a pair of shoes and sets them loose; they collect a hatrack and a curtain, forming a sort of black ghost that ultimately scares Porky upstairs right into the arms of the ghost. He beats a hasty retreat...

After a series of misadventures with a walking skull and the uncles body, which keeps turning up in strange places, the stooges unmask the butler and maid as the killers and recover the will. Then they learn that Curly has only been left sixty seven cents.

Porky finds a gold nugget, then keeps taking it from his pocket. Beans finds a treasure chest that contains a book, How to Find Gold. A bad guy spots a sack near Porkys equipment and lassos it; Porky tells Beans that if he retrieves the sack, he can have Porkys daughter. Beans gives chase in Porkys car; theres a shootout. The car runs out of gas, so Beans refills it with moonshine and it takes off like a shot. He snares the bad guy, the sack, and Porky and races back to town. Porky gives Beans his daughters hand and reveals the contents of the sack.

The birds toss the chick back and forth football style, but drop it; Porky recovers, and manages to take out the flock of buzzards.
