Open Water is a 2003 psychological horror film loosely based on the true story of an American couple, Tom and Eileen Lonergan, who, in 1998, went out with a scuba diving group, Outer Edge Dive Company, on the Great Barrier Reef, and were accidentally left behind as the crew failed to take an accurate headcount. Two in-name only sequels were made; the first In 2006, entitled Adrift; the second in 2017, entitled Cage Dive, which follows the first film's plot of being a survival shark film, again remains unrelated in continuity.

Set in Japan predominantly during the late 1990s, The Garden of Sinners follows the story of Shiki Ryougi, a teenage girl raised as a demon hunter who acquired the "Mystic Eyes of Death Perception" after surviving a fatal accident. It also chronicles Mikiya Kokutou's unwavering efforts to get closer to her when they were still high school students and their adventures later on in dealing with supernatural cases as investigators for Touko Aozaki's detective agency, Garan no Dou. This is set in an alternate universe to Tsukihime and Fate/stay night in which it serves as the prototype for both series as well as introducing many of the concepts prevalent within the latter two.

Harper (released in the UK as The Moving Target) is a 1966 American mystery film based on Ross Macdonald's 1949 novel The Moving Target and adapted for the screen by novelist William Goldman, who admired MacDonald's writings. The film stars Paul Newman as Lew Harper (Lew Archer in the novel). It is directed by Jack Smight, with an ensemble cast that includes Robert Wagner, Julie Harris, Janet Leigh, Shelley Winters and Arthur Hill. The film pays homage to Humphrey Bogart's portrayals of Sam Spade and Phillip Marlowe by featuring Bogart's widow, Lauren Bacall, who plays a wounded wife searching for her missing husband, a role similar to General Sternwood in the 1946 Bogart-and-Bacall film, The Big Sleep. In 1975, Newman reprised the role in The Drowning Pool.

It first aired December 8, 2009 on ABC. A sequel, Operation: Secret Santa, aired on December 7, 2010, reprising the original cast with the addition of Betty White as Mrs. Claus. The second half-hour Christmas TV special, Prep & Landing: Naughty vs. Nice aired on December 5, 2011, on ABC.

The Zombi Collection is a series of Italian zombie films. The series began with the 1979 release of Zombi 2 directed by Lucio Fulci. It was adapted from an original screenplay by Dardano Sacchetti to serve as a sequel to George A. Romero's Dawn of the Dead (1978), which was released in Italy with the title Zombi. This was followed in 1988 with Zombi 3, which is an in-name-only sequel to Fulci's Zombi 2. Claudio Fragasso then directed 1989's After Death, which was retitled Zombi 4 by its Japanese video distributors. Finally, Killing Birds is a 1988 Italian horror film starring Lara Wendel and Robert Vaughn which was renamed Zombi 5 by distributors.
